Key Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and collecting essential patient medical history.
• Assisting orthopedic surgeons specializing in elbow arthroscopy, shoulder surgeries, and various arthroplasties throughout pre-operative and post-operative procedures, ensuring a consistent treatment plan is in place.
• Developing effective, patient-centered treatment plans in compliance with established protocols.
• Providing thorough documentation of patient encounters and treatment details within the electronic health records (EHR) system immediately following each visit or interaction.
• Maintaining continuous communication with supervising physicians regarding patient status, ensuring timely updates on any changes in condition.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the surgical and rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Performing critical skills such as reading x-rays, conducting laboratory evaluations, debridement, suturing, and managing casts and traction therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients who are suffering from various orthopedic conditions, including sports-related injuries and degenerative joint diseases. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and understanding of the patients' physical and emotional challenges, aiming to provide holistic care that addresses their comprehensive needs throughout the recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies, complemented by an accredited Bachelor’s degree as a Physician Assistant.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in California is essential for this role.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of professional experience as a Physician Assistant, specifically in orthopedic settings or related surgical specialties such as sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, or general surgery.
• Demonstrated ability to perform detailed patient assessments and clinical procedures autonomously while abiding by professional standards.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, based on your experience and qualifications.
