PART-TIME JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: UASI Special Technician – Central Region Liaison (Fire Department)

Office Assignment: UASI / Regional Liaison Team

Duty Location(s): Sacramento, CA

Starting Salary Range: $44.00 per hour (starting), not to exceed 1,000 hours annually (no benefits)

The Central California Intelligence Center (CCIC) is seeking qualified applicants for an Urban Area Safety Initiative (UASI) / Central Region Liaison position assigned to support the California State and CCIC efforts throughout the 34-county region of the Eastern District of California. This employee contract position will be renewed annually based on performance and program continuation. A vehicle and fuel will be provided for travel to assignments from the main office. This position is NOT eligible for benefits.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Build, manage, and maintain the Threat Liaison Officer (TLO) Directory for accurate record-keeping
  • Drive private sector outreach by actively participating in security symposiums
  • Deliver briefings and roll-call presentations regarding CCIC roles, capabilities, and services
  • Cultivate regional agency relationships to increase awareness of CCIC, the TLO program, and Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) submissions
  • Conduct organizational gap analyses utilizing surveys, tabletop and full-scale simulated exercises
  • Liaise between field personnel and CCIC intelligence analysts to streamline information sharing
  • Serve as the primary line-level contact for field agencies on all CCIC-related matters
  • Champion CCIC brand recognition and program building throughout the assigned territory
  • Collaborate with the training manager to identify, develop, and deliver targeted training solutions and promotion of the TLO program within local public safety and fire department agencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years paid firefighter experience with collateral duties in public outreach and/or arson investigation.
  • Exceptional writing and public speaking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow security protocols and best practices with attention to detail.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Maintain personal contact telephone line where you can be contacted by CCIC in case of a national/regional emergency.
  • Possess/obtain automobile liability insurance and Commercial General Liability insurance.
