Job Description
We are seeking an analytical professional with a background in finance, accounting, or business to join our Advisory department and provide financial management services related to our Federal client's most pressing tasks.
As a Staff Consultant, you be an integral member of Castro & Company's Advisory Team and will have the opportunity to support our clients by:
- Recommending defensible positions, considering courses of action, and considering the most beneficial options to the government related to financial management challenges
- Developing consolidated financial statements, notes, and related audit support documentation in compliance with Federal Accounting Standards (FAS).
- Performing financial statement analytical review.
- Writing and updating accounting policies.
- Preparing technical briefings to Castro Senior Management.
- Drafting accounting position papers.
- Documenting critical financial reporting processes.
- Reviewing and assessing compliance with OMB Circular A-123.
- Assisting with developing requirements and cross-walking changes.
- Supporting Management with various analyses and ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
To achieve these tasks, you must possess the following Essential Qualities:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field: Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics
- Ability to obtain a Federal Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship Required
- Interest or experience with Federal Financial Statement Audits and Reporting and OMB Circular A-123
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis.
