Salary/Salary Range: $80,705 annually
DescriptionThe Carroll County Commonwealth Attorney's Office includes the elected Commonwealth Attorney, his Chief Deputy, 2 Assistant Commonwealth Attorneys, and 2 Administrative Assistants. Recent state funding has allowed the hiring of up to 2 additional Assistant Commonwealth Attorneys and a Secretary. While each person has their respective primary responsibilities, the office is highly interactive, with the entire staff working together to address major cases. The Victim-Witness Coordinator's Office is located within the same suite to integrate all aspects of the prosecution team. We work hard, but we also enjoy sharing our time together.
General Definition of WorkPerforms difficult and complex professional work prosecuting cases for the Commonwealth Attorney's Office under policies established by the Elected Commonwealth Attorney, administratively managing the resources to fulfill goals and directives of the Commonwealth Attorney.

Essential FunctionsThis work requires the frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work frequently standing, walking, sitting, speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel and occasionally requires reaching with hands and arms and repetitive motions; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
