Position Summary
The On-Site Print Manager is responsible for overseeing daily print operations, leading a small team, and serving as a key liaison between print services and the marketing department. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong understanding of commercial print processes, the ability to manage workflows efficiently, and a customer-focused mindset to build strong internal partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
•Lead, coach, and develop a team of four mailroom professionals to ensure high performance and engagement
•Assign daily work, manage schedules, and monitor productivity to meet service level expectations
•Provide hands-on support and guidance, stepping in as needed to maintain workflow continuity
•Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment
Print Operations Management
•Oversee day-to-day operations of the on-site print facility and mailroom, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timeliness
•Operate and maintain commercial print equipment as needed (digital presses, finishing equipment, etc.)
•Ensure adherence to quality standards, brand guidelines, and production specifications
•Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repairs
Commercial Print Expertise
•Apply knowledge of commercial print techniques, materials, and best practices to optimize output
•Recommend cost-effective and high-quality print solutions for internal stakeholders
•Manage print production from intake through delivery, including prepress, production, and finishing
Client Relationship Management
•Build strong, collaborative relationships with the marketing department and other internal clients
•Serve as a trusted advisor on print capabilities, timelines, and project feasibility
•Communicate proactively regarding project status, challenges, and solutions
•Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through responsiveness and service excellence
Process Improvement & Administration
•Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
•Track metrics, monitor performance, and report on operational outcomes
•Manage inventory of print supplies and ensure proper ordering and cost control
•Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
Qualifications
Required
•3–5+ years of experience in commercial print production or print operations
•Previous experience leading or supervising a team
•Hands-on experience with digital print equipment and finishing processes
•Strong understanding of print production workflows, file preparation, and color management
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
•Experience working in an on-site corporate print environment
•Background supporting marketing or creative teams
•Knowledge of print management or workflow software
