As a Ground Crew Member at Cannon Tree Service, you will play a vital role in supporting our tree care operations. You will work alongside a team of professionals to ensure the safe and efficient completion of tree removal, pruning, and maintenance projects. This position requires physical stamina, technical skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment safely and effectively.
• Drive and operate vehicles with manual shift transmissions, including trucks with Class A or B CDL requirements.
• Assist in the operation of grapple loaders, bucket trucks, skid steers, Avants, and Tree Mek cranes (experience preferred but not required).
• Perform ground duties such as brush chipping, log handling, and cleanup.
• Climb trees as needed to assist with pruning or removal tasks (climbing experience is a plus).
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Proficiency in operating manual shift transmission vehicles.
• Experience with chainsaws and tree care equipment.
• Knowledge of grapple loaders, bucket trucks, skid steers, Avants, and Tree Mek cranes is a plus.
• Ability to climb trees is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic, physical fitness, and ability to work in all weather conditions.
