Role Summary
Seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to design, implement, maintain, tune, and optimize MTA databases, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and maintain SQL Server/Azure Managed Instance databases.
- Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization.
- Implement High Availability/Always On, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Manage database security, patching, and compliance.
- Support database requirements for application development teams.
- Develop automation, scripting, procedures, standards, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams.
- Mentor junior database staff and provide technical direction.
Required Skills
- 5+ years hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, Windows Server, Azure, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage, and Azure security.
- Experience with Always On/High Availability.
- Strong SQL skills; Python/scripting knowledge preferred.
- Experience with Oracle and MS-SQL and UNIX/Linux/Windows environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- 8+ years supporting databases, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Bachelor''s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience; Microsoft certifications preferred.
