Job description

CSuite Financial Partners is seeking an Interim CFO to serve as the seated financial executive throughout the firm's M&A transaction. This individual will lead M&A readiness initiatives, serve as the primary financial point of contact for all transaction-related activities, and ensure a successful closing and post-transaction transition. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the seated CFO throughout the entire transaction process, providing executive-level financial leadership to management and the board

• Assess and enhance financial reporting, KPIs, and personal injury law-specific metrics including case cycle time, costs per lead, costs per signed case, return on ad spend (ROAS), average case value, and gross margin

• Evaluate and strengthen accounting processes and controls, with particular emphasis on trust accounting controls and stakeholder coordination

• Assess data quality and develop case-level financial indexing to enable matter-level analytics and rapid KPI calculations

• Execute cash to accrual adjustments and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS as required

• Strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and cash management processes while identifying operational activities to optimize cash position

• Identify and mitigate diligence risks across accounting, tax, compliance, and contracts

• Coordinate financial workstreams with investment bankers, attorneys, and diligence teams including Quality of Earnings providers

• Manage buyer requests and coordinate responses across all departments

• Support valuation analysis, deal structuring, and negotiation activities

• Build and maintain an organized, diligence-ready data room

• Provide weekly CFO-level leadership and transaction updates to management and board

• Ensure smooth closing and post-transaction transition
