This position is responsible for preparing electrical design drawings and documentation, including lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Day-to-day tasks include performing load calculations, developing one-line diagrams, coordinating with other disciplines (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection), and ensuring designs comply with applicable codes and standards. The Electrical Designer collaborates with project managers and engineers to review design concepts, respond to RFIs, support construction administration, and assist in value engineering and cost estimation. The role also involves revising designs based on client feedback, maintaining organized project files, and supporting continuous improvement of design standards and templates.
