Description

The Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine is searching for a Full-Time (100% FTE) faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the rank of assistant professor in the tenure track. Salary and rank will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The annual starting base salary range for this position is $150,000.

In addition to the faculty base salary, this position includes the opportunity to generate supplemental income through participation in the orthodontic faculty practice plan.

Responsibilities will include staffing the resident and DMD clinic and didactic teaching for residents and dental students.

Developing a focused research plan that will propel the candidate to national prominence within 7 years.

Participation in the faculty practice is optional and can be a significant source of supplemental income.

Candidates should commit to the institutional missions in teaching, research/scholarly activity, patient care, service, and organizational quality improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • DMD/DDS or equivalent
  • Eligibility for an Ohio dental license or an Ohio Teaching license

The preferred candidate will:

  • Have orthodontic residency training from a CODA-accredited program.
  • Have board certification, (or in process), by the American Board of Orthodontics
  • Demonstrate the potential for future administrative achievement and leadership roles in academic dentistry.
  • Demonstrate the potential for future research and development with the potential to attract extramural funding.
