People Operations Coordinator, HR Administration

Location: Sterling Heights, Michigan
Schedule: Standard Day Shift
Work Model: Hybrid

At CAD Engineering Resources, Inc., you’ll help shape a welcoming employee experience from day one. Picture your morning: you review today’s new-hire lineup, prepare orientation materials, and make sure every document is in order. By midday, you’re updating employee records, answering benefit and policy questions, and coordinating a short training session. You wrap up by preparing a few HR reports, checking attendance updates for payroll support, and planning the next engagement activity.

What you’ll do
  • Guide new team members through onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth start
  • Keep employee files and HR databases accurate and up to date
  • Handle employment actions and paperwork (new hires, terminations, status changes)
  • Respond to employee questions on HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and engagement events
  • Support payroll preparation and attendance tracking
  • Help maintain compliance with labor laws and internal policies
  • Create HR reports, spreadsheets, and documentation as needed
  • Pitch in on additional administrative tasks across the HR function
What you bring
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or a related area preferred
  • 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Discretion with confidential information
  • Detail orientation and problem-solving mindset
  • Familiarity with HR practices and employment laws is a plus
Preferred
  • Comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Positive, curious, and eager-to-learn attitude
  • Spanish-speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
