Job description

General Purpose: To gather and organize product content/data needs to be used for the company’s website/e-commerce store.


Primary Duties:

The main duty of a marketing data entry specialist is to gather and organize product data as established and described for the project at hand by the Marketing & Website Manager.


Duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Using ERP software to research product data SKU’s and determine information needed per product number
  • Utilize various vendor websites and/or product data spreadsheets and documents to gather and save data needed for each product number
  •  Organizing vendor specific spreadsheets with product data and copying to a master website/product data spreadsheet
  • Gathering product data sheets for products to be saved with the specific products for the online listing.
  • Gathering and re-saving of the product images
  • Manage and maintain descriptions, attributes, custom fields etc, (including images and downloads) and ensure accurate syncing from the inventory management software to the website platform
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and company events to promote products and services
  • Other assigned duties/tasks to support online presence or marketing needs/initiatives as assigned by Marketing & Website Manager


Skills/Knowledge

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with co-workers, customers and vendors including speaking, reading and writing in English language
  • Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks
  • Proficient use of computers and software including Microsoft products (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and is self-motivated

Additional Skills/Knowledge Desired

  • Adobe Photoshop and image manipulation (re-sizing, removing backgrounds) experience
  • Experience or knowledge of website platforms (specifically Shopify), data syncing to ecommerce


**This job will start at 32 hours per week (full time) and will have the opportunity to move up to 40 hours as the job moves forward.
