Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a senior Network Infrastructure Construction (NICON) Project Manager to lead full-lifecycle structured cabling, high-capacity fiber, and network infrastructure construction projects within a large-scale hyperscale data center environment.

This is a senior, field-oriented delivery role requiring deep technical telecommunications expertise and hands-on project leadership. You will own field execution, schedule, labor and subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, and overall project performance.

Note on Locations & Timeline:

  • Kansas City, MO: Immediate opening / Target start late September.
  • Clarksville, TN: Pipeline opening (Backfill) / Interviews begin mid-September for a late October start. (Please specify your location preference when submitting your application.)

What You Will Do

  • Own field execution, schedule, quality, safety, and subcontractor management from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Coordinate onsite technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure installation meets strict specifications.
  • Evaluate field execution issues, determine appropriate installation approaches, and credibly represent work to client leadership.
  • Manage project commercials, including cost tracking, change management, material procurement, and progress reporting.

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated senior-level experience (5+ years) leading data center telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage, or network infrastructure construction projects.
  • Direct Data Center Construction Experience with demonstrated expertise in high-capacity fiber builds.
  • Field-Based Technical Credibility: Experience coming up through the field (Installer, Foreman, Superintendent, Field Lead) or managing trade execution directly.
  • True PM Ownership: Demonstrated leadership driving schedules, subcontractors, resources, and client communication beyond administrative project coordination.
  • BICSI Background: Meaningful BICSI training, background, or active certifications (RCDD strongly preferred).
  • Work Authorization: Must have independent U.S. work authorization compatible with a 1099 structure (No visa sponsorship available; OPT STEM is not eligible).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active BICSI credential (RCDD) or PMP certification.
  • Direct hyperscale data center construction experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing project financials, change orders, and equipment/BOM procurement.

Contract & Compensation Details

  • Structure: Long-term 1099 Contractor Engagement (Annual renewals every February).
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week fully onsite.
  • Compensation: Target range up to $16,500/month (up to $18,500/month for exceptional hyperscale/RCDD candidates).
