Brown & Associates Certified Inspection Service

Private medical practice based in the Houston area, Brown Pathology is seeking a Pathologists’ Assistant to join our group at our Katy location. This is a day time position Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant training program

Certification: ASCP Certified

Experience: (Preferred) At least 1-year experience with highly complex specimens. Recent graduates will be considered.

Dragon voice recognition software experience a plus

Responsibilities:

-Gross description and complete dissection of all simple and complex surgical specimens.

-Frozen section service.

-Assist in certain specialized procedures or projects as designated by the Pathologists.

-Tissue procurement for special studies.

-Assist with conference preparation as needed.

-Coordination of gross room work flows and personnel for efficiency.
