TITLE: Plant Operator

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

LOCATION: Ogden, Utah

What You'll Do

• Plant opening and closing responsibilities
• Unloading railcars safely and efficiently
• Troubleshooting issues and solving problems as they arise
• Operating a railcar mover as needed
• Scaling railcar ladders
• Working from heights to lance and empty railcars
• Performing basic maintenance and repair s
• Inspecting and performing railcar repairs (depending on severity)
• Maintaining a safe working environment
• Keeping the facility clean, organized, and operating efficiently
• Supporting other operational needs as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is helpful but not required:

• Experience with railcar movers
• Mechanical maintenance experience
• Plant operations experience
• Rail industry experience
• CDL or familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Experience working in safety-sensitive environments
• Organizing the work and leading teams using standard operating procedures
• Experience with railcar and truck unloading equipment

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience;
• Relevant work experience preferred
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move up to 30 - 50 lbs. repetitively
• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, climbing, scaling, and ongoing physical activity
• Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions
• Regular work at heights
• Ongoing physical activity throughout the workday
