HR Manager

Position Summary

The HR Manager is responsible for leading all human resources functions for Brickwork. As the company's primary HR professional, this role partners with leadership to support business objectives while managing employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, payroll, HR systems, and the overall employee experience. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role requiring both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and HR strategy.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, and employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain HR policies and the employee handbook.
  • Lead employee engagement and development initiatives while coaching managers on HR best practices.
  • Analyze HR metrics to improve processes and support business decisions.
  • Coordinate with external partners, including payroll, benefits providers, legal counsel, and HR consultants.
  • Support HR due diligence and integration activities related to acquisitions as needed.


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR management role.
  • Experience supporting professional services, consulting, or similar organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with onboarding, HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and employment law compliance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience in a high-growth environment and implementing HR systems or process improvements.
