Job Summary:
The Parts Inventory Control Specialist II supports advanced inventory control functions including complex receiving, Warehouse Management System processing, and cycle counts. This role ensures inventory accuracy, resolves discrepancies, manages return workflows, and supports scrap procedures. The Parts Specialist II contributes to consistent department workflow and provides guidance and support to Parts Specialist I employees as needed.
Essential Duties:
Complete detailed receiving tasks and verify accuracy in the Warehouse Management System
Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies and follow up with vendors
Perform daily and weekly cycle counts and update inventory records
Maintain accurate documentation for inventory adjustments and control procedures
Process all systematic returns for the service parts department and manufacturer or vendor returns
Oversee scrap procedures and ensure proper documentation is completed
Support warranty returns and defective part processes
Identify workflow or accuracy issues and recommend improvements
Communicate clearly with vendors, technicians, and internal departments; including requesting and communicating status updates for open orders
Follow all department procedures and operational standards
Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
One or more years of parts, warehouse, or inventory control experience preferred
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and basic computer applications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving, counting, and documentation
Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues with vendors
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and support others as needed
Understanding inventory control concepts such as cycle counts and returns
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, or lift for extended periods
Ability to lift up to fifty pounds safely
Regular use of warehouse equipment such as carts and scanning devices
Ability to work in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
