Special Education Teacher - SecondaryBowling Green School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support and inspire learners. This position focuses on serving students through flexible and engaging instruction, while fostering intellectual and social-emotional growth and assisting with career readiness skills. The ideal candidate will create a challenging yet supportive learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.Salary: Based on the district's certified salary schedule and commensurate with experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.Serve as a case manager and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.Provide differentiated instruction and adapt curriculum to meet the unique needs of students.Monitor student progress using data and adjust instruction to support growth.Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success.Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic, social, and emotional development.Supervise and support paraprofessionals assigned to students/placement.Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, team collaboration, and district initiatives Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor
