Description:

Blue Zones Health is seeking a Provider Activation Specialist to engage healthcare providers and promote the integration of Blue Zones principles into their practices in and around Bakersfield, CA. This role is pivotal in supporting healthcare providers through training, resources, and direct interaction, aiming to enhance patient care and outcomes through the adoption of Blue Zones Health's programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Recruits providers and Specialists in designated geographic territory and negotiates provider contracts within specified guidelines.
• Identifies and research potential prospective physicians and providers to generate new leads and opportunities
• Maintains a deep understanding of our services and offerings; stay updated on any developments and be able to effectively communicate them.
• Establishes and maintain positive relationships with various clients, building strong cohesive business partnerships.
• Collaborates with multiple internal departments and external organizations to achieve goals, solve problems, and meet organizational objectives.
• Assists in efforts to enhance ease of use of the physician portal
• Assists providers and members with basic inquiries about claims, authorizations, benefits, and other issues.
• Fosters and maintains proactive, positive relations throughout the provider network through face-to face visits, emails, telephone calls, etc.
• Facilitates the onboarding process for new providers.
• Supports the team in establishing, building, and maintaining positive working relationships with local providers.
• Offers mentorship and support for newer Team Members
• Intervenes and escalates issues as appropriate.
• Liaison between the practice and MSO
• Conducts onsite visits at physician offices daily to facilitate account management and provider growth
• Onsite visits to at least 5 PCP offices a day or 25 visits a week
• Records daily contact of visits and interactions with providers in a shared database (i.e. Salesforce).
• Serves as the main point of contact for the resolution of provider issues, as needed, including internal process improvement, authorizations, complaints, benefits, contracts, fees and other issues. Please note that the responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive and may change in line with organization needs.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as all Employer policies, procedures, and standards, including but not limited to codes of conduct and ethics requirements, as amended from time to time.

Requirements:Qualifications:

• Ability to develop and implement effective provider recruitment processes and take initiative to follow up with prospective providers as appropriate.
• Able to apply sales and marketing skills when conducting provider recruitment activities.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry and managed care concepts.
• Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective providers through regular direct contact and effective communication
• Passion for sales and a commitment for growth

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time within the specified Southern California region(s).
