Work Environment

This role primarily offers a remote work setting, granting you the flexibility needed to excel both personally and professionally. You will be an integral part of a community health clinic model, delivering your services through telehealth platforms that maximize accessibility for our diverse clientele. Our operational hours extend from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, allowing for a flexible schedule that can accommodate your lifestyle while also meeting patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with Blue Sphere Counseling LLC, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate new clients' trauma history and psychological well-being.
• Develop and implement individualized and evidence-based treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience building.
• Provide therapy sessions both individually and in groups using proven therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Engage in crisis intervention and provide immediate support during traumatic events or emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms while introducing them to available resources.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and confidentially, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care best practices.
• Remain informed about the latest research and innovative methods in trauma therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population includes individuals of all ages who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, from childhood adversity to severe emotional distress. As a counselor at Blue Sphere Counseling, you will focus on assisting clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies. This role requires a strengths-based approach to support individuals on their healing journeys while helping them acquire resilience in the face of challenges.

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois.
• Comprehensive understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we encourage individuals who are eager to grow in this area to apply. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT, is highly valued. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team will also strengthen your application.
