Job description

Pay: 18$ per hour

Summary

Bleckmann’s entry level position merchandise processor embodies our core values engagement, entrepreneurship, expertise, and excellence. As a merchandise processor, you’ll provide the manual support of processing orders in our fast-paced warehouse. Behind every happy customer is an inspirational associate driving the success of our team. Our merchandise processer team actively manages the picking, packing, receiving, inventory, stocking an quality assurance of our product. Our team excels at maintaining excellent attendance, walking the duration of 8 hours, and maintaining a keen eye for quality control. Key pillars of this role include excellent attendance, constant ability to walk, bend and reach overhead, ability to use an RF scanner, and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Operations

  • Receive and put away inventory.
  • Get customer orders ready and pack them up
  • Load boxes into trucks for shipment
  • Use scanners to read bar codes on products.
  • View prompts on screens and follow the direction for some tasks.
  • Troubleshoot problems.
  • Ensure product meets quality requirements.

Inventory Control

Works with Inventory control team to ensure accurate, controlled, and fully reported cycle counts.

Monitors product disposition.

Assists in physical inventories.

Inspects damaged packaging for concealed damage to product and documents accordingly.

Ensure accurate inbound/outbound shipments.

Stock new inventory

Safety, Sanitation and Security

Promotes and maintains safety awareness programs. Attends safety meetings; ensures all required safety measures are in place;

Ensure that you meet and follow safety training requirements.

Follows rigid housekeeping and sanitation policies/practices by applying the 5S Lean methodology to sustain a safe, clean and orderly facility.

You'll also need to be able to:

  • Lift up to 49 pounds
  • Push utility carts up to 60 pounds
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
  • Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
  • Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
  • Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
  • Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards Requirements:
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Solid command of English, both written and verbal
