Executive Director


Bishop & Company is seeking an experienced Executive Director on behalf of the Hawaii Parkinson Association, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to helping Hawaii's community live well with Parkinson's Disease.

Position Summary


The Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the Hawaii Parkinson Association and serves as its primary ambassador, fundraiser, and community representative. This role is responsible for fundraising, donor relations, community outreach, volunteer engagement, strategic planning, and overall organizational management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship efforts
  • Develop and execute organizational strategies and annual goals
  • Partner closely with the Board of Directors on planning and governance initiatives
  • Manage the organization's budget and financial performance
  • Build relationships with community, healthcare, corporate, and nonprofit partners
  • Serve as HPA's primary spokesperson and community representative
  • Lead volunteer recruitment, engagement, and development efforts
  • Oversee programs, events, and initiatives that support HPA's mission and growth


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Five or more years of fundraising experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization, or equivalent leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor relations, corporate partnerships, and community engagement
  • Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and volunteer leadership
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
  • Ability to lead fundraising initiatives and cultivate key partnerships
  • Knowledge of Parkinson's Disease or related communities is a plus


Role Details

Location: Must reside in Hawaii; interisland and occasional mainland travel required.

Schedule: Full-time with flexibility to attend community and fundraising events.

Compensation

$75,000-$90,000 annual base salary plus bonus opportunity tied to fundraising and outreach goals. Comprehensive benefits package included.
