Job Description:
The Beverage Systems Analyst serves as the primary technology and business liaison for Biltmore's beverage portfolio, including wine production, wine club operations, spirits, and beverage retail platforms. This role is responsible for the analysis, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise systems that enable beverage production, distribution, retail, and guest engagement.
This position plays a critical role in advancing employee efficiency, enhancing the guest experience, and driving financial and operational performance through modernized, integrated, and scalable beverage technology solutions. The Beverage Systems Analyst partners closely with Beverage leadership, Operations, Finance, Retail, and IT teams to ensure systems align with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and growth objectives, and owns business-critical, revenue-generating beverage platforms where system availability, accuracy, and performance have direct financial and guest-experience impact.
The position leads cross-functional initiatives and projects, including project planning, resource coordination, timeline management, and stakeholder communication. The role contributes to shaping the future of the Beverage division by designing and implementing efficient processes, systems, and workflows that enhance operations, improve customer experiences, and support sustained revenue growth.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for beverage-related business applications, including wine production systems, beverage inventory, wine club platforms, retail commerce solutions, and related integrations.
  • Partner with Beverage business leaders to identify opportunities to improve employee workflows, system usability, and operational efficiency through technology enhancements and process optimization.
  • Lead analysis, configuration, and ongoing administration of beverage platforms, including user access, security roles, workflows, master data, and system rules.
  • Drive the replacement and modernization of wine production systems, including expanded functionality for spirits, increasing overall system scope and complexity.
  • Provide administration and configuration support for beverage retail and e-commerce platforms to enable growth in online wine and beverage sales.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with internal development, integration, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Analyze data from business systems to develop reports and metrics that inform operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support wine club operations by enabling systems that improve member engagement, retention, and lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of system changes, upgrades, and new functionality to minimize business disruption.
  • Ensure beverage systems comply with regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements related to alcohol production, sales, reporting, and taxation.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, process flows, and user guidance to support long-term sustainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and automate business processes, ensuring reliable data flow and interoperability between systems.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term platform strategy.
  • Build relationships with application software vendors and provide feedback to support functional improvements.
  • Participate in strategic planning and roadmap discussions related to beverage technology investments.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that intersect beverage operations, guest experience, and enterprise data platforms.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Work with other Business Analysts, the Applications Database Administrator, and Enterprise Data Architect to continuously improve data access and governance in support of organizational goals.
  • Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders and end-users to minimize disruption to business operations
  • Support Business Development for stakeholders to articulate the value proposition of our product offering and help solution design during RFP's, RFI's and other client visioning sessions.
  • Triage support calls and assign additional support resources as needed.
  • After hours support will be required for assigned systems and within a rotational on-call schedule.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by leadership for support of the department, and company as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting complex, transaction-driven enterprise systems.
  • Experience with POS, retail, inventory, production, or supply chain systems strongly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into effective system solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment.
  • Experience supporting systems with high availability, revenue impact, and operational risk.
  • Knowledge of beverage, hospitality, retail, or regulated industries is a strong plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Moderate noise level typical of a business office environment.
  • Occasional travel to on-property beverage, production, or retail locations may be required.
  • Ability to travel across the property is required. Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a reasonable degree of manual dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
  • The incumbent will work in an office environment and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to differentiate colors, have visual acuity to include depth perception.
