Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Better Mindset Counseling, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify clients' mental health challenges, strengths, and resources.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions through individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities.
  • Utilize effective treatment techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that set clear goals and interventions tailored to each client.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
  • Offer crisis intervention services, conduct risk assessments, and participate in safety planning as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with various mental health conditions. You will work with individuals, couples, and families to guide them towards achieving emotional stability and resilience. Our clients come from varied backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence and adaptability in your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid License as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a counseling or therapy setting.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients on a personal and professional level.
  • Proficiency in documentation and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to CBT and trauma-informed practices.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques, such as EMDR or play therapy, will be viewed favorably. Experience working with families from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds is advantageous.
