Job description

We are seeking a Credit Analyst with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound financial judgment. This role will support lending and credit risk decision-making by evaluating financial information, assessing creditworthiness, and providing recommendations on loan and credit applications. The Credit Analyst will work closely with lending, risk, and business teams to ensure accurate credit assessments while maintaining compliance with the Bank's credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, cash flow, and other financial data to evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses.
  • Assess lending risks and prepare detailed credit analyses and recommendations for loan approvals or denials.
  • Review and monitor existing credit portfolios to identify potential risks and ensure ongoing credit quality.
  • Conduct financial ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and industry research to support lending decisions.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers, underwriting teams, and risk partners to facilitate efficient credit approval processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities within assigned credit portfolios and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist in improving credit review processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of credit evaluations and lending decisions.
Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, commercial lending, or risk assessment.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and credit risk analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), including formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Experience using financial analysis tools and credit reporting systems.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in banking, commercial lending, consumer lending, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with credit underwriting standards, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of financial risk management and portfolio monitoring.
  • Experience preparing credit memorandums and financial risk assessments.
  • Exposure to process improvement initiatives related to credit operations and reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with lending, operations, risk, and compliance teams.
Compensation

The expected annual salary for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 at the start of employment. Salary offers are determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration each candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
