Job description

Looking for a career in mental healthcare and also looking for a fantastic work and life balance? Join the team at West River Mental Health where we strive to be the premier provider in the Black Hills. West River Mental Health has been providing mental health care in Western South Dakota since 1948 and is the largest, most advanced community mental healthcare facility in the region.

West River Mental Health has Full Time and Part Time Behavioral Health Technician positions available at Pivot Point and Transitional. This position assists individuals entering Pivot Point as well as supports and maintains an environment that is client driven, recovery oriented, and outcome informed.

The teams work directly with individuals to gather information for screening and referral to the appropriate level of care, assist clients in addressing immediate needs of nutrition and comfort, and provide support as needed in the completion of tasks relating to a stabilization plan. Responsibilities also include completing client PBT, UA, and other tests as directed by protocols for male/female clients.

In addition, this role provides guidance, training, and supervision to clients living in a group home setting. Staff assist with developing daily living skills and structure in order for clients to transition to independent living in the community.

Starting pay is $21.40 per hour, with an additional $2 overnight and $2 weekend differential.

We offer an exceptional employee benefits package that includes health, dental, 401K, life insurance, short term disability, and long-term disability, EAP, PTO, paid holidays, and floating holidays. We provide our teams with a flexible schedule to accommodate important personal and family memories as well as encouraging professional growth.
