Job Description: Appliance Delivery Driver

Starting Wage: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
Benefits: 1 Week Paid Vacation + Annual Performance-Based Bonus

Job Summary

We are looking for a physically strong and experienced Appliance Delivery Driver to transport and install heavy household appliances. The ideal candidate has experience operating 16ft and 18ft box trucks and is comfortable maneuvering items weighing 350 lbs or more with proper equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving & Logistics: Safely operate 16ft and 18ft box trucks in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Heavy Lifting: Manually move, load, and unload appliances (refrigerators, washers, ranges) weighing 350+ lbs using appliance dollies, lift gates, and straps.
• In-Home Delivery: Navigate bulky items through narrow hallways and stairs without damaging customer property.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
• Documentation: Complete delivery logs and customer paperwork accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience operating box trucks (16ft–18ft) is required.
• Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
• License: Valid driver’s license (CDL typically not required for these truck sizes unless over 26,001 lbs GVWR).

Compensation & Perks

Appliance Delivery Driver: Tool & Equipment Proficiency

To ensure safety and efficiency, we expect candidates to be proficient with the following:

• Heavy-Duty Appliance Dollies: Mastery of 4-wheel and 2-wheel dollies with ratcheting safety straps for securing 350+ lb units.
• Shoulder Dollies / Moving Straps: Ability to use body-harness lifting systems (like Forearm Forklift or Shoulder Dolly) for carrying bulky items up stairs.
• Power Tools: Proficient use of cordless drills, impact drivers, and nut drivers for basic installation and door reversals.
• Plumbing & Gas Tools: Experience with pipe wrenches, pliers (Channellocks), and Teflon tape for connecting water lines and gas hoses.
• Floor Protection: Proper use of Neoprene floor runners and "Air-Sleds" to prevent scratching hardwood or tile.
• Vehicle Equipment: Expert operation of hydraulic lift gates and securing loads with E-track logistics straps.
• "When not on delivery routes, drivers are responsible for warehouse duties, including loading and unloading inbound and outbound appliance shipments."
