Job description

Staff Accountant - Arlington, VA

Beacon Hill is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles and an interest in reporting, analysis, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis
  • Review and maintain accurate financial records
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams on accounting and finance initiatives
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence tools preferred
  • Exposure to SQL, Tableau, Python, or similar technologies is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
