Based in Belleville, MI, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our tooling and die assets operate with reliability and precision. Your morning might start with triaging a stamping issue, continue with scheduled preventive maintenance, and finish by mentoring a junior tech on best-practice safety procedures and measurement techniques.

What you'll handle

• Locate root causes and repair tooling and dies to restore peak performance.
• Execute routine maintenance and detailed inspections to prevent downtime.
• Partner closely with production and engineering to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Use precision metrology instruments to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Document all maintenance and repair actions with clear, complete records.
• Support the design and build of new tooling when needed.
• Coach less-experienced technicians in safe, effective methods.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training/certification preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience repairing tools and dies.
• Solid knowledge of machining processes, materials, and shop practices.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and related equipment.
• Sharp problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Clear communication skills and an unwavering commitment to safety.
