Job Title: Operations Technology Specialist
Job Site: Vanmark in Creston
Role Summary:
The Operations Technology Specialist is a hybrid position responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will provide Tier 1 helpdesk support, assist with ERP system workflows, and continue the Windows 11 migration. You will evaluate current state processes, gather stakeholder requirements, and recommend improvements to optimize organizational productivity.
You will act as the frontline for both general technical IT issues and core business application support. You will manage the user lifecycle and support the integration of enterprise AI. Additionally, you will provide critical Tier 1 support for the company’s ERP systems, ensuring business-critical processes remain uninterrupted. The employee will also be required to perform other related duties not specifically described in this summary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis amp; Process Optimization
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business pain points and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Workflow Design: Conduct current-state and future-state analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend system-enabled improvements.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze helpdesk and ERP data to identify trends and suggest proactive technical solutions to management.
  • Testing amp; Implementation: Develop and execute test plans for workflows within the ERP environment to ensure they meet business objectives.
  • Tier 1 Helpdesk Support amp; Maintenance
  • Provide first-level resolution for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Continue the Windows 11 transition by managing workstation imaging and ensuring compatibility of all business-critical applications.
  • Manage the full user lifecycle, including account provisioning in Active Directory and ERP access control.
  • ERP Application Support
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for ERP-related issues.
  • Assist with ERP user account management, including role-based access control and password resets.
  • Help users navigate ERP modules and resolve common data entry or report errors.
  • Escalate complex functional or technical ERP bugs to Tier 2 engineers or vendor support teams.
  • Enterprise Security amp; Compliance
  • Enforce security policies, including MFA and endpoint protection protocols.
  • Maintain security systems and engage staff in security-related training.
  • Ensure all managed devices are patched and compliant with corporate security standards.
  • AI Integration amp; Orchestration
  • Support the rollout of enterprise AI assistants assisting users with basic prompt engineering and tool navigation.
  • Ensure all AI interactions comply with corporate data privacy standards.
  • Utilize AI-driven diagnostic tools to identify and resolve recurring system issues faster.
Required Skills amp; Qualifications
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years in an IT support environment or business analysis role with a real eagerness to learn from the IT team and end-user community
  • Technical Proficiency: Minimum of 3 years of ERP experience, Office 365 amp; Windows 10 / 11 administration, desktop support amp; hardware maintenance
  • Security Proficiency: Experience with AD, IPSec VPNs, MFA, XDR systems
  • AI Literacy: Eagerness to develop and adopt AI-assisted workflows.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional empathy, communication, and the ability to explain complex tech to non-technical users.
  • Certifications: Batchelor’s degree in a related field required
