JOB TITLE: Warehouse Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Area Manager
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will coordinate the activities and operations of the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Responsible for overseeing stores and receiving activities by training and directing department employees to achieve internal and external customer requirements.
  • Performs tasks involved in the hiring process and performance of employees.
  • Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with organizationโ€™s policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that product is stored, handled and shipped in a manner that prevents loss or damage, and meets customer specifications.
  • Directs personnel to ensure raw material and component parts are received and issued to jobs to meet production schedule.
  • Directs material handlers to ensure raw material, components parts and WIP are transported as required to meet production schedule.
  • Responsible for budget control of department resources.
  • Manages completion and accuracy of all department documentation and all inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement activity in areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Manages claims with assistance from the Project Management.
  • Performs various material handling activities using forklift, pallet jack, or cart.
  • Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directly supervises employees in the Stores and Receiving departments.

QUALIFICATIONS amp; REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, as well as relevant software tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality regulations.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
  • Forklift or other relevant equipment operation certification may be required.
  • Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE:
  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ experience required.
  • Previous supervisor experience preferred.
