Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting clients with policy inquiries, processing changes and payments. Team member must maintain accurate records, collaborate with agents, and have strong communication, computer and problem- solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Customer assistance: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, answering questions about policies and services, and handling service issues.
- Policy management: Process policy changes, endorsements, and adjustments, and maintain up-to-date policyholder information in the system.
- Complaint resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating issues to agents or management when necessary.
- Administrative support: Assist insurance agents with administrative tasks, data entry, and processing claims, payments and certificates of insurance.
- Communication: Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails, clearly explaining product details, and documenting customer interactions.
Required skills and qualifications
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and explain complex information clearly.
- Technical: Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to multitask while typing.
- Problem-solving: Ability to analyze situations, troubleshoot issues, and find effective solutions for customers.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and maintain accurate records.
- Professionalism: A friendly, patient, and likeable demeanor.
- Licensing: Property and Casualty licensing or willing to obtain licensing.
