Part-Time Floor Manager / Bar Susanne / Williamsburg, NY

We're looking for a part-time Floor Manager to help lead our front-of-house team and ensure every guest has exceptional experience.

The Role
As Floor Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day dining room operations during your shifts, supporting captains, servers, bartenders, and hosts, and guest relations. This is a hands-on leadership role — working directly with FOH, BOH and Restaurant Management

Responsibilities

• Oversee floor operations during assigned shifts (dinner, and/or weekend brunch service)
• Manage FOH staff schedule
• Lead pre-shift briefings with energy and clear purpose, communicate nightly specials, 86'd items, and VIP reservations
• Support and coach front-of-house staff in real time; step in on the floor as needed
• Manage the reservation book and table flow to optimize seating and pacing
• Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
• Communicate with kitchen leadership to coordinate timing, service flow, dietary restrictions
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and nightly reporting
• Lead by example with professional communication and conflict resolution

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience (upscale casual or fine dining preferred)
• Strong floor presence with a calm, hospitality-first demeanor under pressure
• Working knowledge of seafood, wine, and cocktail programs a plus
• Familiarity with 7-shift, Toast POS and reservation systems (OpenTable, or similar)
• Food Protection Certificate and TIPS/alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Flexible availability including nights and weekends

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time, Fri-Sun
• Competitive hourly rate
