Our centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute and Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse at Baptist Pediatrics on San Jose in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day-shift opportunity Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse is phone triage. This office is conveniently located on the corner of I-95 and Old St. Augustine Road on the Baptist South campus. They will support 8 providers and this is a busy, fast-paced office. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and comfortable interacting with patients face to face.
Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities:

  • Triage telephone calls
  • Interpret symptoms and communicating plan of care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans
  • Manage prior authorizations for medications
  • Coordinate workflow pertaining to clinical questions
  • Additional responsibilities may be required based upon office needs
  • Room/triage patients for providers
  • Reviewing the clinical messages that come through the portal and responding to them
  • Using strong communication and documentation skills
Education & Credential Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
Experience Requirements:
  • Clinical Experience Preferred
