Job Purpose

National Bankruptcy Services (NBS), headquartered in Dallas, Texas, was founded in 1999 to deliver technology enabled, compliant bankruptcy servicing solutions to our valued colleagues in the lending and servicing industries. The ideal professional candidate is looking for a dynamic career in creditor bankruptcy or loan servicing. We are looking for candidates ready to begin their path in the role of Bankruptcy Specialist I. This role is the essential start of the bankruptcy process and a key to develop a base foundation for advancement. The candidate will work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to exceeding expectations and customer satisfaction.

Key Job Duties

  • Data extraction and validation of key fields from the bankruptcy docket
  • Procurement of necessary mortgage collateral documents, validation, and redaction.
  • Procurement and verification required financial data and invoices, escrow statements, payment histories and other pertinent mortgage data.
  • Notation, tracking, and procurement of missing items as necessary. Perform regular follow up to procure any missing data and documents.
  • Other similar duties may be assigned as required


Job Requirements

  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration while meeting timelines. 
  • Data entry and data reconciliation accuracy, proficient technical skills to maintain quality and results
  • Attention to detail to perform accurate and quality work with document review and data validation.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and 10 key touch. 
  • Ambition to learn and drive to completed tasks 
  • Ability to navigate efficiently within various applications and platforms
  • Ability to perform in a team environment to accomplish shared goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with 3-5 years of verifiable work experience required (will consider bachelor’s degree in lieu of work experience)
  • Work history preferred in legal, accounting, billing, loan servicing, or other professional practices
  • Mortgage Banking experience is preferred
