Bailey's Catering LLC is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare high-quality food for catering events in Bolingbrook, IL.

Position Summary

The Cook will support the kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to specification, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation. This role helps deliver a great guest experience by maintaining food safety standards and supporting a smooth, efficient service flow.

Working onsite in Bolingbrook, IL, the Cook will collaborate with the culinary team to prep, cook, and assist with daily kitchen operations as needed for catering schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe standards, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines

• Support daily food prep, ingredient handling, and kitchen organization to maintain consistent production

• Follow food safety and sanitation practices, including proper storage, labeling, and cleaning procedures

• Assist with basic inventory support by monitoring supplies and notifying the team of low stock

• Coordinate with team members to meet catering timelines and ensure ready-to-serve product

Required Qualifications

• Experience preparing and cooking food in a fast-paced kitchen or food service environment

• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

• Ability to follow recipes, production instructions, and portioning standards

• Willingness to work onsite in Bolingbrook, IL as a part-time team member

• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle kitchen equipment and food preparation tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Catering or event food preparation experience

• Familiarity with maintaining consistent quality across high-volume production

• Experience working collaboratively with a team under time constraints

Compensation

Hourly rate: $20 - $25
