Job description

POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant serves as an administrative and clerical support for the clinical directors, both medical and dental, and the corporate office. He/she is responsible for performing various clerical functions including maintaining appropriate clinical files, preparing correspondence, answering incoming calls, and coordinating travel to support the timely delivery of quality patient care. He/ she also serves as back-up to the Executive Assistant or Receptionist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in Business, Public Health, or related field and/or a minimum of two (2) years' experience as an administrative assistant or similar. Experience working in a medical office setting preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and in the community.
  • Must be capable of exercising sound judgment when dealing with patients, staff and community at large.
  • Ability to interface effectively with members of culturally and professionally diverse staff.
  • Tech Savvy with proficiency in Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal written and oral instruction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making capability.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic.
