Job description: Atwork Personnel is seeking a dedicated and organized Event Manager to oversee parking operations at a large parking garage in downtown Salt Lake City during events and games. This will be a direct hire job with our client as a part-time, 21-28 hour contractor. Once hired, you will be a 1099 independent contractor on their payroll.The Events Manager will lead a team of five temporary workers to ensure efficient parking operations for every event.
They will need to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a safe and orderly environment for guests and staff.Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of five temporary workers during events. Direct the inflow and outflow of vehicles in parking garages before and after events. Support enforcement efforts by ensuring team members properly scan license plates and issue tickets for unpaid parking.
Provide high-quality customer service, assisting drivers with questions and resolving issues promptly and professionally. Operate a golf cart to distribute and retrieve signage and cones before, during, and after events. Collaborate closely with mall management, security personnel, hotel valet teams, and off-duty SLCPD officers directing street traffic.Minimum requirements to be considered: Must work night and weekend shifts.
Valid driver's license required. Proven experience managing small teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform light physical tasks as needed.
