There’s a difference between managing construction and truly leading operations. The best General Superintendents in commercial construction aren't just looking for another job site — they thrive where field leadership is valued, career growth is real, and safety is paramount.

We’re partnering with a leading national commercial builder seeking a senior-level General Superintendent to lead complex, high-visibility projects in Texas. In this role, you will lead field operations on projects up to or exceeding $1 Billion. This is a key, high-visibility leadership role partnered with and part of the executive team - on site every day - driving culture and accountability.

This is an opportunity for a field operations leader who wants more. The organization is looking for someone who builds high-performing teams, earns trust with owners and trade partners, drives an incident‑free safety culture, and executes with precision at every phase of construction.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Influence operational scalability
  • Foster and maintain lasting relationships with owners, trade contractors, and project partners
  • Grow within a firm that invests heavily in leadership and technical field operations development including long‑term career growth
  • Navigate complexity without creating chaos

Ideal background includes:

  • 10+ years of experience running field operations on large‑scale commercial construction experience including healthcare, mission critical, advanced technology and manufacturing, food and beverage, or complex institutional work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
  • OSHA 30‑hour certification; STS‑C preferred
  • Track record of positive, productive relationships with project team including client, designers and a complex team of subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated leadership proficiency with scheduling, cost control, and all divisions of work
  • Proven ability to lead teams, resolve field challenges, and maintain a safety‑first culture
  • A true passion for leading complex projects and the people who build them

Why experienced superintendents are paying attention:

  • Complex commercial projects
  • Strong operational culture
  • Stable, respected organization
  • Leadership visibility and influence
  • Opportunity to shape teams and mentor future leaders
  • Less bureaucracy, more trust in experienced operators
