Job description

Role: IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA Hybrid(2-3 Days office in week)

Job Type: Contract


The infrastructure of information technology comprises of hardware systems, software, network

connections and servers. An IT infrastructure project manager will manage various IT infrastructure needs of the exchange or a project. This role requires solid infrastructure skills to manage complex infrastructure projects and manage multiple work streams and complex projects.


Responsibilities include (but not limited to):


•Manage Stakeholder Relationships

•Manage Development of the Project Plan

•Manage Project Progress

•Manage Project Acceptance

•Manage Project Transitions

•Evaluate & Improve Project Performance


Knowledge Strong understanding of:

Healthcare issues, information systems, management issues, and current trends.

Conceptualizing business strategies while implementing information systems and technology strategic direction.


Skills

Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments

Expert hands-on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask

Command of Schedule, Scope, Budget, Quality and Benefits always in the life cycle of the project

Actively manage a critical path which allows for a line of sight into risk/issues before they have project/program impact

Previous hands-on infrastructure experience

Knowledge of the several of following helpful: Cisco Infra Products, PowerCenter/Power Exchange, ISIM/ISAM, Sailpoint IIQ, CA workload Automation, SQL Server, WebSphere, DataPower, LDAP, Corticon Rules Engine etc.

Excellent analytical and observation skills

Ability to keep up with latest developments in the field and upgrade IT infrastructure

Good communication and negotiation skills

Excellent planning and organization ability

Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities


Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Assessing the requirements of the project and recommending suitable IT components

Analyzing different options and recommending the most suitable for the project

economically feasible

Work on improving the IT infrastructure of the organization

Recommend upgrades and new systems that will be more useful for the project

Prepare Plan and status report for IT infrastructure projects

Always keep a check on the project KPI’s and ensure that project KPI’s are not breached

Formulating procedures and policies for optimum utilization of IT infrastructure resources in the company

Supervising IT staff, consultants, vendors, and suppliers

Meeting with managers of different departments and assessing IT infrastructure needs
