Job description

Company Description Apartment Hero is dedicated to “Rescuing Renters From Regret” by helping individuals find apartments that truly fit their needs, lifestyle, and budget. The team focuses on providing transparent guidance, honest recommendations, and supportive service throughout the rental search process. Apartment Hero builds trusted relationships with renters by simplifying complex housing options and avoiding high-pressure sales tactics. The company values local market expertise, integrity, and a renter-first mindset to ensure people feel confident and informed when choosing their next home.

Role Description The Apartment Locating Agent is a full-time, hybrid role based in Denver, CO. In this position, the agent meets with prospective renters to understand their preferences, budget, and timing, and then researches available apartments that match those criteria. The agent schedules and conducts property tours, explains lease terms and community features, and provides clear, unbiased advice to help renters make informed decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the Denver rental market, coordinating with property managers and leasing offices, managing client communications via phone, email, and text, and accurately tracking leads and placements in internal systems. The role also involves following up with clients after tours, ensuring a positive experience, and representing Apartment Hero’s renter-focused values in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Strong client service and communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal communication, and professional written correspondence.
  • Sales and relationship-building abilities, such as establishing trust, managing a pipeline of leads, and guiding renters through decision-making without pressure.
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple clients, schedule property tours, and keep accurate records of interactions and apartment options.
  • Local market knowledge or willingness to quickly learn the Denver rental landscape, including neighborhoods, amenities, price ranges, and typical lease terms.
  • Comfort with technology and basic office tools, including CRM or lead-tracking software, email, calendars, and mapping or apartment search platforms.
  • Ethical, renter-first mindset, with the ability to provide transparent information and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Ability to work hybrid in Denver, CO, with reliable transportation to visit properties and meet clients as needed.
  • Prior experience in leasing, real estate, customer service, or hospitality is beneficial but not strictly required.
