Low Voltage / Security Systems Installation Support

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable Security Installation Helper to support the installation of commercial security and low-voltage systems. This position assists technicians with cable pulling, device installation, equipment assembly, and jobsite preparation. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of security system installs, understands basic low-voltage cabling practices, and is willing to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

·         Assist with the installation of security systems, access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage equipment.

·         Pull, route, dress, and label Cat6 and other low-voltage cabling according to project specifications.

·         Install J-Hooks, cable supports, cable trays, and pathways while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

·         Assemble, mount, and assist with installing LAN racks, equipment racks, patch panels, and related network hardware.

·         Perform low-voltage terminations, including Cat6 cable termination, testing support, and basic troubleshooting under technician supervision.

·         Follow jobsite safety requirements, company procedures, and customer site rules at all times.

·         Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment for installation projects.

·         Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and customers while representing the company on-site.

Qualifications

·         Knowledge of security system installation, low-voltage cabling, and structured cabling practices preferred.

·         Experience pulling Cat6 cable, installing J-Hooks, assembling LAN racks, and supporting cable tray installation strongly preferred.

·         Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, ladders, and common installation equipment safely.

·         Must be reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions in a fast-paced jobsite environment.

·         Must be able to lift and carry materials, work overhead, climb ladders, and perform physical installation tasks as required.

·         Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Security Clearance and Travel Requirements

·         Must be able to pass a security clearance, background check, and any customer-required screening.

·         Must be able and willing to travel for out-of-town projects as needed.

·         Must be able to work flexible hours when project schedules require, including early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends.

We are a Veteran Owned Small Business based in Dublin, GA. We primarily work on projects for various Federal Government Agencies.
