The Opportunity

We are hiring a VP of Brand to shape what Alpha Lion becomes next and build the team and capability required to bring it to life.

At the heart of this role is exceptional storytelling: the ability to connect consumer insight, product truth, and commercial opportunity into a compelling narrative, and carry that narrative from product positioning through launch, creative execution, and community building.

This is a rare opportunity to take meaningful ownership inside a scaled, founder-led company. Set the direction, raise the creative standard, and turn strategy into bold, entertaining, and memorable work that makes Alpha Lion impossible to ignore. You will have the mandate and direct executive access to build the function.

What You'll Own

• Lead the brand work upstream in the GTM process, turning consumer insight, product truth, and competitive context into a clear target customer, differentiated product positioning, compelling value proposition, messaging hierarchy and launch narrative.
• Lead how that story comes to life across packaging, digital creative, retail, organic content, communications, and the broader customer experience, ensuring every channel tells one clear and compelling story.
• Build Alpha Lion's community and cultural relevance through organic content, creators and influencers, partnerships, events, activations and community programs that create meaningful participation.
• Set and evolve Alpha Lion's overall brand strategy, voice, identity and standards, ensuring the brand remains clear, distinctive and consistent.
• Build and lead a world-class Brand organization across creative, Organic Social, content, community, partnerships and activations, developing the people, partners and ways of working required to consistently produce exceptional, distinctive and memorable work.
• Own the annual brand plan, marketing calendar, awareness budget and campaign priorities.

• Campaigns, launches and community programs break through, build awareness, preference and participation, and contribute meaningfully to business growth.
• The creative standard rises materially while the organization moves faster, with less rework and fewer executive escalations.
• A high-performing Brand team, agency network and operating model are in place to scale the company's ambitions.

Who You Are

You are a commercially minded brand builder with exceptional creative judgment. You can see the big opportunity, turn it into a clear strategy and mobilize teams to execute at a high level. You are equally comfortable shaping the narrative, challenging the work, making investment decisions, and building the organization required to deliver.

What You Bring

• Significant senior brand leadership experience in a high-growth consumer business, ideally CPG, health, wellness or performance.
• Exceptional storytelling and product-positioning ability, with a track record of turning consumer insight, product truth and competitive context into compelling propositions and launch narratives that contributed to product success.
• A track record of building distinctive brands and leading integrated campaigns, activations and communications that produced measurable impact.
• Strong creative and design judgment, with the ability to direct designers, writers, content teams and agencies without needing to be the principal creator.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams, establishing clear standards and improving both quality and speed.
• Omnichannel experience across DTC, retail, packaging, product launches and consumer experiences.
• The ability to use consumer insight and data without allowing process or analysis to replace judgment and action.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, founder-led environment where ownership, candor and resourcefulness matter.

Compensation

This is a remote role open to candidates based in the United States. The expected base salary range for this position is $180,000–$235,000 (USD) annually. Your offer will reflect your experience, skill set, and local market. Beyond base pay, team members may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits built to support their health, wellness, and professional goals.
