As a Digital Print Production Operator, you be working along side our Digital Press operators. You will be responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital and large format printers. You will be responsible for calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's colors / previous jobs. You will also manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.This role also includes finishing of production jobs using various bindery equipment, cutter, folder, booklet maker, etc.
This is an excellent position for someone interested in entering the industry and building a lasting career.

You will also be trained to assist our large format department in printing, production, and installation projects. Primary examples of projects that need assistance are vehicle graphics and wall mural projects that require a second installer.

The primary responsibility of the Digital Print Production Operator is to operate and complete all digital printing (B&W/Color) production for maximum production efficiency.

Digital Print Production Operator Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating/assisting digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation on Ricoh 7500 and Canon 9010
  • Responsible for operating/assisting digital large format printers - HP 560 / HP730W / EFI 16H and Colex Flatbed cutter
  • Assisting in our large format department with installations
  • Responsible for imposing files for print
  • Responsible for running USPS mail software
  • Completes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
  • Tracks waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machines
  • Maintains all Digital Printing Equipment logs
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician
  • Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency
  • Other duties as assigned

Digital Print Production Operator Qualifications

  • No Experience Necessary - We will train the right candidate
  • Digital printing experience preferred - we run Ricoh 7500 and Canon 9010 digital presses
  • Digital large format printing experience preferred - we run HP 560 and 730W along with EFI 16H and Colex flatbed cutter
  • Ability to organize several activities and tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, if needed
  • Experience preferred with basic bindery functions
  • Familiar and comfortable with Fiery Print Controller is a plus
  • Is proficient with the use of Command Workstation to control digital workflow, we will train the right person for this
  • Graphic design skills are a plus but not necessary
  • Customer service experience is a plus but not necessary
