Role title: Marketing Specialist

Salary: $45,000-$60,000

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Direct reports: None

Status: Full-time, on-site

Location: Hula, 50 Lakeside Avenue, Burlington, VT

About the Role: The Marketing Specialist supports the execution of marketing initiatives that promote the coworking space, events, programs, and community. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media, email marketing, and brand storytelling in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities


Content Creation & Social Media

  • Create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Design basic marketing graphics using Canva or similar tools.
  • Capture and edit photos and short-form videos of the space, events, and community members. 
  • Develop engaging social media content, including graphics and copy, to support campaigns and key messaging.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all marketing channels.

Marketing Support

  • Assist with creating marketing emails, newsletters, and event promotions.
  • Distribute printed marketing materials, including flyers, posters, and chalkboard signage.
  • Support distribution of marketing materials on member-specific channels including Slack, Nexudus, and email.
  • Support marketing campaigns for events, partnerships, member spotlights, and community initiatives.
  • Organize and maintain marketing assets, content calendars, and promotional materials.

Community & Events

  • Assist with on-site event promotion and day-of support.
  • Help gather testimonials, photos, and feedback from members and event attendees.
  • Collaborate with Community Operations and Events teams on promotional needs.

Analytics & Research

  • Track basic engagement metrics (email open rates, social engagement, website traffic)
  • Conduct light market or competitor research as assigned
  • Assist with reports or summaries on marketing performance
Qualifications
  • Experience with marketing concepts, communications, social media, print media
  • Experience with Canva or similar design tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

Preferred

  • Experience with Social media platforms
  • Interest in coworking, entrepreneurship, or community-based organizations
  • Basic understanding of email marketing or social media analytics
  • Photography or short-form video experience (even at a beginner level).
  • Image, graphic and video editing experience
