Akkodis is seeking an Embedded DevOps Consultant for a Contract position with a client located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Ideally, the successful candidate will have strong experience with embedded systems build and development process as a DevOps engineer or a similar software engineering role. Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure is preferred, especially in large Automobile/Motor Vehicle companies.

Position: Embedded DevOps Consultant

Contract

Experience Required:

1. 7+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or a similar software engineering role.
2. Experience with embedded systems build and development process preferred.
3. Team leadership experience highly preferred.

Objectives of this role:

1. Implementing and maintaining new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure.
2. Understanding the changing needs of developers and translating them into action items.
3. Creating new ways to automate and improve the Continuous Integration process.
4. Testing and examining code written by others.
5. Identifying technical problems and developing updates and fixes.
6. Working with other teams in the organization to ensure adherence to our best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Setting up, maintaining, and optimizing pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
2. Deploy updates and fixes as required to ensure Continuous Integration.
3. Develop solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed.
4. Perform root cause analysis of development and production build and pipeline issues.
5. Develop automation to enhance current processes.
6. Develop new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
