Job description

Description:
MTSI is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to provide programmatic support for multiple ongoing and new B-52 avionics and communications/navigation acquisition and modernization programs. The candidate will work directly with branch leadership and program managers, engineers, and logisticians executing Air Force Global Strike Command programs to field new, war-winning capabilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily, direct program schedule support, schedule performance analysis, and recommendations to avionics/communications program managers in support of multiple ongoing and new acquisition/modernization programs
  • Interface daily with Branch leadership, program managers, engineers, logisticians, and members of the overall weapon system enterprise, including requirements managers at Air Force Global Strike Command, to manage schedules for all assigned programs
  • Develop and maintain high quality, program-level integrated master schedule (IMS) in Microsoft Project across all phases of development for each assigned program
  • Serve as branch focal point to assist program staff with program scheduling activities
  • Apply project scheduling expertise to programs/projects and to advise project leads and project engineers highlighting schedule plans, actions, risks, and completion status
  • Perform program/project schedule analysis to include metrics, critical path, and variances
  • Monitor Contractor schedule performance to include monthly status and variances
  • Prepare and assess program schedules in collaboration with stakeholders to support program presentations, program reviews, and milestone documentation deliveries
  • Assist with the review of contractor provided schedules and supporting deliverables/reports

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and eight (8) or more years of experience in logistics/project management OR associate's degree with 12+ years of experience in logistics/project management
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within DoD or Air Force acquisition management
  • Knowledge of DoD/Air Force acquisition scheduling methodologies, tools, and practices
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Open Plan, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project performance measurement techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams under tight timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
