Compensation: $20.00–$24.00/hr DOE, plus tip pool averaging $10.00/hr

Ain't Normal is looking for a passionate, curious cook to join our kitchen. We bake, we build small plates — if you get excited about good food and want to grow your skills alongside a team that cares, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements:

• California ServSafe food handler certified
• Available for 4–5 shifts/week, including weekends, mornings, and afternoons
• 1–2 years professional cooking experience preferred

What you bring:

• Team player who communicates directly and works well with co-workers and managers
• Organized and efficient, with proven kitchen fundamentals (appliance usage, dishwashing, cleanliness, FIFO, inventory, quality control)
• Comfortable following safety protocols and Ain't Normal recipes
• Excited to experiment with new menu items and grow your cooking knowledge with us
• Eager to learn, grow their skills, and contribute to a fun but professional kitchen

Physical requirements:

• Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs
• Manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow oral/written instructions
