Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Orthopedic Surgery team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons providing comprehensive surgical and clinical care to patients with musculoskeletal injuries, disorders, and conditions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in both the clinic and surgical settings while supporting patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current California Physician Assistant license
  • NCCPA certification required
  • Current DEA certification or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative surgical and clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous orthopedic surgery experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Previous surgical first assist experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Strong procedural and clinical decision-making skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
