Position Overview
Advanced Rx Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process written prescriptions and refill requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Accurately enter and verify patient information and medical histories while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance
- Provide high-quality customer service by assisting patients with inquiries and directing clinical questions to the pharmacist
- Prepare and dispense medications, including counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions
- Process and troubleshoot patient insurance claims and billing issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in pharmacy systems
- Conduct inventory audits, manage stock levels, and assist with ordering medications and supplies
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee is a plus.
- Certification (CPhT) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent pharmacy technician experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math and computer proficiency for daily pharmacy operations
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Customer service experience required
